Friday's opening night of the Mountain Moonshine Classic weekend for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Smoky Mountain Speedway was rained out, track officials said. The $12,000-to-win race in Maryville, Tenn., doomed by morning rain, won't be rescheduled.

Saturday's $20,000-to-win national touring event is on as scheduled with gates opening at noon and the drivers' meeting at 7 p.m. On-track activity begins at 7:30 p.m. Visit smokymountainspeedway.com for details.

Two-day ticket-holders will be refunded upon entering the track Saturday; those with Friday tickets can pay the difference to enter Saturday's race.
