Back in May, I argued my point via my blog on this very website that Winchester (Tenn.) Speedway should have more special events. I don’t expect the track to rival what Bob Harris has been able to do over at Duck River Raceway Park, some 60 miles away, but I wanted to see Winchester host more than one special event each season. My wish was granted when track owner Jimmy Nowlin announced in late June that the track would host the Freedom 40 on July 3.
